How To Make Easy English Toffee!

I’m not much of a baker, scratch that… I’m not a baker at all. I don’t like exact measurements and I don’t have much of a sweet tooth. But… as I was skimming through my Southern Living Magazine, I came across a dessert that looked simple to make. All of the ingredients I had in my pantry, so I decided that I would give it a try.

You need:

jelly-pan

Non-stick foil

2 sticks of butter

1 cup of dark brown sugar

saltine crackers

1 package of semi sweet chocolate chipstoasted pecans @ ¼ cup

flaky salt

How To Make It!

Step 1: Cover your jelly-pan with non-stick foil; take a semi soft stick of butter and rub onto foil. Place saltines in a single layer on top.

Step 2: Throw your stick of butter along with another stick into a pan and melt.

Step 3: Add 1 cup of brown sugar stirring until boiling, continue to stir for 3 min.

Step 4: Pour sugar and butter mixture over saltines. Place in 350 degree oven for 9 minutes.

Step 5: Place pan on cooling rack for 1 minute. Add all of the chocolate chips. Take spatula a spread evenly over the crackers.

Step 6: Sprinkle toasted pecans and salt on top of chocolate. Let cool, then place in refrigerator.

Step 7: Break apart when cold and store in container in the refrigerator until you are ready to enjoy.English Toffee

This dessert tastes exactly like English toffee!!

You can serve these on a pretty plate.

This past month I have made this 3 times and each time it comes out delicious!
